M&Aビジネスデベロッパー/ M&A Business Developer

A renowned technology-focused company is looking for an M&A Business Developer. The selected candidate will drive deal sourcing, relationship building, and early-stage evaluation of acquisition opportunities across Japan and APAC.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and build a pipeline of acquisition targets across defence tech, AI, drones, and enterprise software
• Develop and maintain relationships with founders, advisors, investment banks, and corporate brokers
• Conduct outreach, qualification discussions, and initial financial assessments of targets
• Lead early-stage deal conversations while ensuring regulatory compliance as a listed entity
• Collaborate with analysts on financial modelling and due diligence preparation
• Prepare investment materials and monitor industry trends and competitive landscape

Requirements:

• More than 6 years of experience in M&A origination, corporate development, investment banking, or strategic advisory in Japan
• Background in sourcing and developing deal relationships in Japanese technology or defence markets
• Knowledge with cross-border M&A processes, including Canadian / US regulatory considerations
• Possess network among Japan-based investment banks, boutiques, and M&A intermediaries
• Native level Japanese; business level English
