A renowned cosmetics and beauty products company is looking for a Color Science Expert. The selected candidate will lead cross-functional color science initiatives, driving innovation, trend leadership, and consumer-focused product development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional Color Science programs aligned with global and regional strategies
• Develop high-performance color solutions for skincare, makeup, and hair products
• Position brands as leaders in color trends and optical innovation
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate insights into product and strategy development
• Build partnerships with academia, startups, and suppliers to drive innovation
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to refine strategies

Requirements:

• D. or Master's degree in Color Science and Sensory Science or Cognitive Science
• More than 10 years of experience in the field of color (beauty industry or another relevant industry)
• Experience within a global company
• Knowledge of colorimetry, color appearance, cognitive science, and color management systems
• Familiarity with color pigments and raw material technologies
• Proficient in software packages (Python, C/C++, MATLAB, R, SAS)
• Skilled in MS Excel
• Skilled with various forms of artificial intelligence
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in multisensory research (studies related to color, fragrance, and texture)
