HRマネージャー/ HR Manager

A global pharmaceutical company is seeking an HR Manager. The selected candidate will oversee HR functions, including payroll, compensation, hiring, performance management, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee HR programs, policies, and procedures for Japan
• Manage payroll processes in collaboration with local vendors and the global team
• Administer compensation, benefits, and incentive programs, working closely with finance and external partners
• Support hiring processes, including job evaluation, recruitment coordination, and onboarding
• Lead annual HR programs, including performance management, salary reviews, and engagement surveys
• Provide HR data analysis and reporting to support business decisions
• Advise managers on labour relations and ensure compliance with local labour laws
• Develop and improve HR policies based on market trends and legal requirements
• Support training programs and organise staff events
• Contribute to regional and global HR initiatives and projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field
• More than 5 years of progressive Japan HR experience in a multinational company
• Experience supporting both commercial and functional teams
• Strong knowledge of Japan labour laws
• C&B background preferred
• Proficient in Excel & HRIS (SuccessFactors preferred)
• Culturally aware and experienced in working with diverse teams
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Native level Japanese; proficient in English (TOEIC 800+)
