A renowned eCommerce company is looking for a Sr. Payroll Specialist – Japan. The selected candidate will manage payroll operations and ensure compliance with Japanese statutory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee payroll processing across Japan and another APAC country
• Ensure timely, accurate execution aligned with Japanese labor regulations
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll filings and accruals
• Coordinate with HR and external vendors for seamless payroll operations
• Support system automation and payroll integration with HRIS and finance systems
• Deliver insights through payroll analytics and lead improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, finance, or a relevant domain
• More than 8 years of experience in payroll
• Experience with payroll calculations
• Knowledge of Japanese payroll regulations
• Skilled in MS Office Suite
• Proficient in Japanese and English
