Head of Marketing

A renowned international R&D organisation is looking for a Head of Marketing. The selected candidate will lead marketing strategy, customer acquisition, and brand positioning in the Japan market while aligning with global initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to leadership decisions and organisational strategy as part of the Japan leadership team
• Analyse market trends and customer insights to support the medium-term financial plan
• Identify high-potential segments and lead strategic acquisition initiatives in the materials and life science sectors
• Develop and execute Japan-specific marketing strategies to boost brand visibility and lead generation
• Manage key marketing KPIs across the entire sales cycle, from awareness to conversion
• Represent the company through media appearances, speaking engagements, and internal communication initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in marketing, business, or a relevant domain
• More than 8 years of marketing experience
• Background in lead management, sales funnel optimisation, and marketing KPI tracking
• Knowledge of the Japanese business culture and B2B sales cycles
• Proficient in marketing platforms, CRM systems, digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms
• Native level Japanese; proficient in English
