製薬営業マネージャー/ Pharma Sales Manager
An international biotechnology company is seeking a Pharma Sales Manager. The selected candidate will drive sales growth, develop client relationships, and deliver technical solution proposals while collaborating with global teams. This is a hybrid setup role.
Responsibilities:
- Drive all sales activities to achieve targets and grow business in Japan
- Manage sales to local clients in collaboration with global and regional teams and partners
- Maintain strong business partnerships and support development of deployment contracts
- Provide MES solution proposals leveraging technical knowledge and pharmaceutical production expertise
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
- Participate in pharmaceutical industry associations and events as a representative
- Update SAP system with order pipeline, quotations, and scheduling information
- Manage invoicing and cost payments on a monthly basis
- Conduct discovery sessions to identify customer needs and translate them into MES value propositions
- Understand manufacturing IT/OT landscape and position MES within digital transformation strategies
- Develop account strategies and engage multiple stakeholders to drive opportunities
- Lead proposal processes including business cases and solution presentations
- Collaborate with SI partners, vendors, and consulting partners for project execution
- Drive pipeline development, forecast accuracy, and opportunity progression
- Promote MES solutions through industry forums and external events
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering
- More than 2 years of experience in sales, consulting, or technical roles related to MES, DCS, ERP, LIMS, eQMS, SCADA, or pharmaceutical equipment
- Experience in MES and manufacturing IT systems within the pharmaceutical domain
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts, terms, pricing structures, and project risks
- Native level Japanese; business level English
Preferred requirements:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes including aseptic, solid, biotech, API
- Experience in IT/OT transformation projects in regulated industries
- Knowledge of GxP, CSV, and data integrity principles
- Experience in bid preparation, RFP/RFI, and proposal development
- Understanding of system architecture including MES, SCADA/DCS, LIMS, ERP, and QMS
- Experience conducting workshops, system demonstrations, and design discussions
