CMOプロジェクト管理/ CMO Project Management

A global pharmaceutical company is looking for a CMO Project Management professional. The selected candidate will manage contract manufacturing operations, lead tech transfers, and drive portfolio optimisation projects. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage product portfolio activities including new product launches and divestments involving Japanese CMOs
• Oversee product changes such as API switches, manufacturing site transfers, and local implementations
• Identify opportunities to optimise CMO portfolio and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with CMOs, ensure contract compliance, and monitor production performance
• Lead or support tech transfer projects, binding offers, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Track CMO KPIs, address performance gaps, and contribute to EM&S strategy development

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in scientific, engineering, or business (MBA is ideal)
• More than 10 years of experience in CMO management, business development, project management, manufacturing in the pharmaceutical company
• Experience in tech transfer
• Prior experience with risk management programs
• Proven experience leading project teams in a matricial setting
• Background with CMO management
• Prior background in Lean management/ continuous improvement
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and pharmaceutical production
• Fluent level English and Japanese
