プロキュアメントアソシエイトディレクター/ Associate Director Procurement

A multinational biotechnology company is looking for an Associate Director, Procurement. The selected candidate will lead end-to-end procurement operations, manage sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier relationships, ensure procurement compliance, and support business operations in alignment with global procurement policies. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with legal, compliance, IT, Finance, and global procurement teams to ensure appropriate and compliant procurement processes, governance, and policies
• Develop procurement strategies for all company functions including R&D, Commercial, and Enabling functions
• Refine procurement policy and enhance procurement processes
• Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Review existing supplier and vendor contracts and update preferred vendor lists as necessary
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Approve purchase orders and organise and confirm delivery of goods and services
• Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements

Requirements:

• More than 10 years of experience in procurement and managing end-to-end procurement processes
• Experience in pharmaceutical procurement
• Proven experience managing procurement operations
• Knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Management and leadership skills
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement
• Experience using SAP
