A renowned eCommerce company is looking for a Category Buyer. The selected candidate will lead procurement strategies and supplier management to drive cost efficiency and assortment optimisation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise cost and supplier performance
• Conduct pricing analysis, evaluate sourcing scenarios, and benchmark supplier offers
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers
• Manage inventory levels to reduce stockouts and minimise waste
• Recommend product assortments based on data insights and market trends

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in international trade, purchasing, procurement, merchandising, category management
• Experience in eCommerce or grocery
• Prior in-office work experience
• Proven startup experience is a plus
• Knowledge with eCommerce and project management tools (Shopify, Slack, AirTable, ShipHero, Notion, and Asana)
• Understanding of MS Excel or Google Sheets functions (INDEX-MATCH, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Native level Japanese; business level English (Mandarin is ideal)
