SCM Director

An international food and beverage solutions company is looking for an SCM Director. The selected candidate will lead end-to-end supply chain functions, driving operational efficiency and service excellence across procurement, production, and distribution. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing Supply Chain team
• Manage sales forecasting strategies in collaboration with the Sales team
• Maintain excellent service levels and ensure timely procurement across global and local sites
• Optimise inventory to avoid obsolescence while maintaining sufficient stock
• Design and develop efficient supply chain networks from production to customer delivery
• Oversee production planning and relationships with local contract manufacturers
• Negotiate and manage local purchasing to control production costs
• Handle customer complaints related to SCM and drive continuous improvement
• Initiate improvements in material flows, cost reduction, lead times, and working capital
• Implement and lead monthly S&OP processes
• Analyse and act on monthly KPI data and root cause findings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 10 years of proven experience in supply chain management, including planning and logistics, ideally in food and beverage
• 5–10 years of team management experience
• Prior customer-facing experience
• Proficient in SAP, MS Office, Power BI
• Skilled in project and program management
• Fluent level Japanese and English
