OPEX/ OPEX

A global distribution and manufacturing organisation is seeking an Operational Excellence Specialist (OPEX). The selected candidate will drive operational efficiency, implement Lean-based improvements, and support cost-saving activities across the supply chain.

Responsibilities:

• Drive annual cost-saving objectives through process improvement, digital transformation, and efficiency initiatives
• Develop and execute annual Operational Excellence plans aligned with site and regional leadership
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to identify and eliminate waste in operational processes
• Facilitate Gemba-based improvement activities including DMS, Kaizen events, 6S, and Visual Management
• Promote continuous improvement culture and support daily, weekly, and monthly OpEx activities
• Collaborate with APAC Operational Excellence teams to align goals and share best practices
• Prepare and present regular OpEx updates including scorecards, weekly highlights, and monthly reports
• Engage directly in Gemba operations to support hands-on improvement activities and team collaboration

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations process improvement
• Strong expertise in Lean methodologies, including waste reduction, root cause analysis, and Kaizen
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Effective project management and organisational capabilities
• Possess a valid Six Sigma Green Belt certification (within one year after training)
• Native level Japanese; business level English
