A global financial services firm is seeking an Operations Risk and Regulatory Control Analyst Associate. The selected candidate will support complex regulatory reporting and ensure compliance across operational functions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk identification and manage controls for Disclosure of Interest, Client Asset Segregation, and Transaction Reporting
• Monitor and report short positions and substantial shareholder disclosures in line with regulations
• Process and oversee daily client asset segregation and related regulatory submissions
• Create, verify, and submit regulatory reports to agencies including FSA, BOJ, and JSDA
• Analyse the impacts of market or system changes on reporting and implement necessary updates
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Operations to ensure compliance and effective control execution

Requirements:

• Experience working in regulatory reporting, operations, or financial services
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; Excel (vlookup, sumif, pivot tables)
• Knowledge of Japan regulations (FIEL), legal ledger, and financial products preferred
• Ability to learn regulations, new systems, and adapt to change
• Proficient in written and verbal Japanese and English
