Chief Product Officer

A global technology company is searching for a CPO. The chosen candidate will be developing a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's vision and objectives. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the AI product that aligns with the company's overall vision and objectives
• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring successful implementation and adoption in the Japanese market
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure product development meets market needs and compliance with local regulations
• Own the P&L for the AI product, driving profitability and ensuring financial targets are met
• Monitor product performance metrics, analysing data to make informed decisions and adjustments to the strategy as necessary
• Build and lead a high-performing local team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, supporting their professional growth and development
• Act as the primary advocate for the AI product internally and externally, representing the product vision and strategy to stakeholders, partners, and customers
• Drive the growth of revenue and market share for the AI product in Japan through strategic market positioning and competitive analysis

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chief Product Officer, Head of Product, CEO or similar leadership role in the B2C AI products (conversational bots, NLP, dating, AI personas, etc.) in the Japanese market
• Team management experience
• Experience in P&L
• Understanding of the AI landscape and in-depth understanding of the Japanese market and business landscape
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Native Japanese; fluent level English
