電気・BESSエンジニア/ Electrical and BESS Engineer

A renowned renewable energy company is looking for an Electrical and BESS Engineer. The selected candidate will lead the electrical design, coordination, and compliance of renewable and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead coordination and negotiation with grid utilities, contractors, and regulatory bodies for interconnection and compliance
• Manage grid interconnection applications, ensuring proper equipment sizing in coordination with engineering teams
• Lead technical design and quality control of renewable and BESS projects
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, technology evaluations, and financial modelling
• Draft electrical design standards with a focus on safety and quality
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams for seamless BESS integration
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, EMS, and SCADA providers for plant control systems
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing to ensure industry compliance
• Stay informed on trends, technologies, and regulations related to BESS and renewables
• Provide technical support and problem-solving throughout project lifecycle
• Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders
• Ensure regulatory compliance for all BESS projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
• More than 4 years of experience in engineering
• More than 3 years of experience in the electric power sector
• Strong understanding of grid integration, renewable energy systems, and BESS technologies
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale energy projects, including budgeting and scheduling
• Possess a valid MBA qualification is preferred
• Proficient in Japanese and English
