BDマネージャー エネルギーストレージ/ BD Manager - Energy Storage

A multinational renewable energy company is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive Energy Storage System (ESS) projects. This role involves identifying opportunities, leading turnkey contracts, and coordinating regional sales activities.

Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with potential customers and identify C&I Storage project opportunities
• Monitor industry trends, government publications, and market reports to inform business strategy
• Develop strategic business plans to expand project pipelines
• Lead contract negotiations for turnkey C&I storage solutions
• Coordinate with product management to optimise sales collateral and regional strategies
• Research and analyse market requirements to shape business strategies and present proposals internally
• Organise factory visits, FATs, customer events, and project presentations
• Work with marketing to develop promotional materials and catalogue content
• Travel up to 40%, including internationally

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering
• More than 5 years’ experience in the Japanese energy sector
• Experience in energy storage business, PPA business development, or energy market trading
• Proven ability to lead PPA and EPC contract negotiations in the energy sector
• Strong financial knowledge for project P&L analysis and financial simulations
• Proficiency in renewable project simulations and B2B sales interactions
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Professional level Japanese and English
