プロジェクト部門マネージャー/ Project Dept. Manager

An international energy and automation company is looking for a Project Management Dept. Manager – DC Regional Application Centre Japan. The selected candidate will lead and standardise project management practices while driving excellence in planning and execution of turnkey data centre projects.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy consistent project management practices, processes, and frameworks across projects
• Adapt and roll out project management methodologies to regional and country requirements
• Establish and enforce project execution standards to ensure customer success and project profitability
• Lead and oversee a team of Project Managers, providing mentorship and thought leadership
• Implement standard project management tools to formalise project initiation, approval, and execution
• Track project progress, including milestones, billings, site issues, and process compliance
• Act as gatekeeper to ensure adherence to project management and execution frameworks
• Engage in early project stages to proactively identify and manage project risks
• Interface with procurement on vendor qualification, subcontractor selection, and turnkey project

Requirements:

• Practical experience in project management within mission-critical infrastructure projects in Japan
• Experience leading and supervising project management teams
• Proficient in MS Office Suite with basic AutoCAD skills
• Knowledge of local installation standards and regulatory authority requirements
• Possess a valid certification or technical training in generator systems, MV and LV systems, UPS, chillers, or fire protection systems
• Possess a valid 1st Class Electrical or Plumbing Construction Managing Engineer certification in Japan or equivalent
• Native level Japanese; basic level English
