会計士/ Accountant

A global fashion and retail company is looking for an Accountant. The selected candidate will manage fixed assets, ensure accounting accuracy, support AP/AR operations, and assist in statutory reporting while driving process improvements. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage fixed asset accounting and prepare JGAAP journal entries during monthly close
• Perform ledger reconciliations across US GAAP and JGAAP and lead annual asset counts
• Collaborate with operations to reconcile sales data, monitor lease payments, and improve data accuracy
• Support AP/AR processes by handling invoices, payments, and digitisation initiatives
• Assist in statutory reporting, financial statement preparation, and audit compliance
• Conduct financial analysis and drive process and system improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant domain
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of accounting policies and procedures, with emphasis on fixed asset treatment under JGAAP and US GAAP, as well as Japan consumption tax
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle is ideal)
• Business level written and spoken English and Japanese (Chinese is ideal)

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in apparel industry
• Possess valid Japanese Bookkeeping Certificate (Nissho Boki) Level 2+
