会計士/ Accountant

A multinational life sciences and clinical laboratory organisation is seeking an Accountant. The selected candidate will manage general ledger activities, financial reporting, tax compliance, reconciliations, and support month-end processes and audits. This is a hybrid setup.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger transactions
• Perform reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analysis
• Prepare monthly cash forecasts and monitor cash balances
• Perform tax payments and support statutory tax filings
• Execute monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation
• Process and review adjusting journals and ensure timely clearance of reconciling items
• Identify and communicate process shortcomings and control weaknesses
• Review and post monthly journals as required
• Ensure timely reconciliation of fixed assets sub-ledger and coordinate with relevant teams
• Support month-end closing activities
• Support Japan tax processes including VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, and statutory reporting
• Manage audits including customs and tax audits to meet deadlines
• Handle filing of travel and expense reports
• Act as Japan bank administrator
• Support global and regional process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting
• 5-7 years of experience in finance and accounting
• Experience handling full set of Japan books
• Strong experience in tax, accounting, reporting, compliance, and statutory reporting
• Experience in an international, multicurrency environment
• Proficiency in financial systems, preferably Oracle Fusion or other large ERPs
• Fluent level Japanese and English
