Head of Business Architecture

A medical equipment company is looking for a Head of Business Architecture. The chosen candidate will lead a global team to drive digital transformation across manufacturing operations. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the product owner for a specific SAP S/4 application module (PP, MM), ensuring it aligns with manufacturing business processes and drives operational efficiency
• Collect, analyse, and prioritise business requirements for the application to support business objectives and continuous improvement
• Act as the central interface between business and IT, ensuring seamless communication and stable operation of the SAP S/4 application
• Lead change and release management, including approving change requests, reviewing test cases, and validating releases
• Oversee critical business operations such as user authorisation, data accuracy, and issue resolution to maintain system stability
• Manage data quality and guide operations teams, identifying and executing improvements to ensure data integrity and performance
• Drive lifecycle projects and rollouts, ensuring smooth implementation, proper training, documentation, and change management
• Act as the senior advisor and stakeholder lead, engaging global user communities and ensuring manufacturing needs are represented in transformation initiatives

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant sector
• More than 15 years of experience in leadership roles within digital transformation, manufacturing technology, and operations management, with deep expertise in digital solutions, or Quality Management Systems (QMS) (ISO 9001, Six Sigma)
• More than 10 years of experience and a strong track record of implementing digital solutions across regions (SAP ECC, SAP S/4, IIoT, PLM, IBP, WMS, or MES solutions)
• More than 10 years of experience in agile project management methodology and process frameworks (APQC, SCOR)
• Versatile with SAP ACTIVATE methodology
• Possess a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE II certification is a plus
• Proficient in MS 365, Jira, or related tools
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Professional level Japanese; fluent level English
