製品設計エンジニア/ Product Design Engineer

An international manufacturing company is looking for a Product Design Engineer. The selected candidate will design, validate, and launch products while supporting prototyping, testing, cost estimation, manufacturing optimisation, and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Design parts and subassemblies using standard methods and techniques
• Perform dimensioning tasks and develop GD&T knowledge through interpreting dimensions and tolerances on design drawings
• Perform daily tolerance stack-ups
• Assist with design prototyping and jig development
• Support planning and cost estimation for parts and materials
• Use CAD and CAE systems to model designs and create detailed engineering drawings
• Create and review component specifications and bills of materials
• Support conformity testing, product specifications, and process validation activities
• Collaborate with internal manufacturing partners, external contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimise designs for manufacturability
• Summarise project progress and prepare and distribute status updates, including customer updates
• Conduct post-project evaluations and support assigned special projects
• Learn and comply with department product design guidelines and standards

Requirements:

• Specialised knowledge of product design engineering and the ability to execute standard processes
• Ability to resolve standard issues across multiple functions using existing procedures
• Ability to exchange information directly with relevant teams and confirm understanding through questions
• Professional level Japanese and English
