フィールドアプリケーションエンジニア/ Field Application Engineer

A foreign electronics manufacturing company is looking for an FAE/PDE. The chosen candidate will act as the technical interface between customers, sales, and global engineering teams for automotive high-speed communication connectors. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in technical discussions with customers regarding automotive high-speed communication connectors
• Collaborate with domestic and overseas design teams to support product development in line with defined development processes
• Create technical proposals to support product expansion and business growth
• Understand customer technical requirement specifications and communicate them to global teams
• Work closely with the sales organisation to incorporate customer requirements into product designs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering is preferred
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical/electronic, communications, or mechanical engineering
• Practical experience in the automotive or electronic components industry
• Knowledge of high-speed signal transmission (signal integrity, transmission lines, impedance design)
• Ability to read and understand drawings (connectors, harnesses, circuit diagrams
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Native level Japanese; basic level English

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in automotive high-speed communication connector or harness design
• Experience with EMC/EMI countermeasures
• Business experience working with automotive customers (OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers)
• Knowledge of Automotive Ethernet standards and ecosystems (OPEN Alliance, IEEE 802.3)
• Business level English
