自動車用ソフトウェアプロジェクトマネージャー/ Automotive Software Project Manager

A global engineering company is looking for an Automotive Software Project Manager. The chosen candidate will lead customer-facing technical projects, serving as the key interface between customers, local teams, and international expertise centres.

Responsibilities:

• Manage customer-facing telematics, onboard electronics, diagnostics, and automotive software projects for commercial vehicles and passenger cars
• Collect, clarify, document, and follow up on customer requirements in coordination with international expertise centres
• Lead technical communications with customers in Japan and propose optimised technical solutions
• Prepare technical content for business proposals, customer meetings, and commercial negotiations
• Coordinate project execution with international teams across pre-project, development, validation, production, and support phases
• Manage and coordinate project partners in Japan and overseas as required
• Participate in project validation activities and provide technical support for issue resolution and customised solutions
• Conduct product demonstrations during customer meetings, events, and marketing activities
• Contribute to future strategy development based on global technology trends and local customer needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, or a related engineering field is preferred
• Project management experience in the automotive sector
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict-management skills
• Notions of embedded software engineering, including real-time systems and embedded Linux
• Knowledge of automotive communication networks such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet
• QMS experience (QS9001 or IATF 16949 is ideal)
• Business level written and verbal Japanese and English
