アシスタントペイマスター/ Assistant Paymaster

A leading hospitality company is looking for an Assistant Paymaster. The selected candidate will oversee payroll processing, payment operations, payroll accounting, annual payroll administration, and audit support.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly outsourced payroll processing, schedules, HR coordination, and final approvals
• Review bank transfer data and prepare payment approval documentation
• Prepare payroll journal entries, internal controls, and accounting system postings
• Verify payroll expenses, statutory welfare costs, and related P&L and balance sheet entries
• Manage salary revisions, bonus payments, year-end tax adjustments, and statutory tax reporting
• Support internal and external audits and respond to payroll-related regulatory changes

Requirements:

• Experience in payroll processing or social insurance administration
• Prior accounting experience related to monthly closing activities
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Understanding of Japanese income tax law (payroll taxation)
• Knowledge of Japanese Labor Standards Act and labor management
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience managing outsourced payroll vendors
