財務ディレクター/ Director of Finance

A multinational technology company is looking for a Director of Finance. The selected candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, drive financial performance, strengthen governance, lead financial planning and transformation, and develop a high-performing finance team. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a financial advisor and thought partner to business and functional leaders on strategic planning and investment decisions
• Translate business strategy into financial plans, targets and performance metrics
• Provide forward-looking insights, scenario analysis and recommendations to support decision making
• Lead annual business planning, business outlook and quarterly forecasting processes
• Oversee financial performance reviews and drive corrective actions based on identified risks and opportunities
• Monitor revenue, margin, cost, working capital and CapEx
• Ensure strong internal controls, compliance and audit readiness in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Partner with controllership, audit and tax teams to mitigate financial and operational risks
• Drive process simplification, digitalisation and continuous improvement across finance operations
• Champion finance transformation initiatives to reduce manual effort and increase value-added analysis
• Leverage systems and data to improve efficiency, insight quality and decision speed
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing finance team
• Build a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and business-oriented thinking
• Support the development of future finance leaders through stretch assignments and mentoring

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 15-20 years of work experience
• Extensive experience in progressive finance leadership roles within a multinational or matrix organisation
• Broad finance exposure across areas such as FP&A, Operations Finance, Commercial Finance and Controlling
• Experience in operations finance and/or manufacturing finance
• Strong understanding of manufacturing concepts and operating environments in manufacturing sectors
• Ability to represent the business in the absence of the General Manager
• Strong internal controls and compliance mindset
• Fluent level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Possess a valid accounting qualification such as CPA, CMA or CIA
