スタッフ会計士/ Staff Accountant

A global supplier of industrial semiconductor and related industrial parts is looking for a Staff Accountant. The selected candidate will oversee accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, audits, and process improvement activities. This is a flexi-time role.

Responsibilities:

• Review accounting records and financial reports for accuracy
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies
• Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation
• Support tax-related activities and statutory filings
• Assist with audits and internal control activities
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting
• Support system, automation, and standardisation initiatives
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on finance-related matters

Requirements:

• Experience in month-end closing
• Prior experience in account reconciliation
• Proven experience preparing supporting documentation for Japan tax filings
• Previous experience with electronic bookkeeping compliance (e-Bunsho)
• Understanding of Japanese consumption tax regulations
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Familiarity with JGAAP
• Proficient in English; professional level Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with Shared Service Centers
• Prior BlackLine reconciliation portal and Concur expense reporting experience
• Proven experience supporting audits
• Previous experience in a US multinational company environment
• Understanding of US GAAP
• Possess valid Boki (Bookkeeping) Level 2 or equivalent accounting qualification
