経理マネージャー/ Accounting Manager

A global space technology company is seeking an Accounting Manager to support global accounting operations and work closely with the Director of Accounting on closing, disclosure, and external and internal audits. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate accounting reports and their results
• Support the Director of Accounting and Manager in the consolidation process
• Analyse financial statements for discrepancies and issues and take action for improvement
• Manage cash payments
• Work with the VP of Accounting and Director of Accounting on strategic group-wide accounting matters, including intercompany transfer frameworks and system enhancements
• Work with the broader Office of the CFO team on financial reporting, fundraising, and related matters
• Stay up to date with the latest business trends
• Manage and maintain general ledgers
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Conduct regular account reconciliations
• Review accounting systems and suggest improvements
• Provide support for external audits
• Provide support for tax returns and tax audits

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 5 years of experience in accounting
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Vlookup and Pivot
• Proficient in Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience working as a senior accountant or in a similar role at a listed company
• Experience in consolidated financial reporting
• Ability to identify inconsistencies in financial data and communicate with subsidiaries to resolve issues
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Possess a valid Nissho Bookkeeping Certification Level 2+, USCPA, Japanese CPA, or equivalent
