An international eCommerce company is looking for an Associate Corporate Counsel, Regulatory. The selected candidate will support legal operations, negotiate contracts, ensure compliance, and manage legal issues related to marketplace and fulfilment services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support for marketplace and fulfilment services in Japan, including cross-border matters
• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts and high-value transactions
• Advise on corporate and business law, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Manage legal disputes and pre-litigation matters
• Collaborate with internal teams on business initiatives and procedural issues
• Support additional legal projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Law degree or equivalent (J.D.)
• 5-12 years of PQE legal experience at a global law firm or multinational corporation
• Prior transactional and project management experience
• In-house experience at an international corporation, retail, or e-commerce company preferred
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Possess a valid licence to practice law in Japan, the United States, or another common law jurisdiction
• Proficient in Japanese and English
