規制コンプライアンスエキスパートマネージャー/ Regulatory Compliance Expert Manager

A multinational food company is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Expert Manager. The selected candidate will assess ingredients, recipes, claims, legal text, finished products, labels and artwork while supporting regulatory monitoring, external affairs, compliance management and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Regulatory Compliance Process assessments for imported and co-manufactured pet food products
• Assess ingredient, recipe, finished product, label, legal text and artwork compliance against regulatory requirements
• Co-create and assess product names and claims based on regulatory and scientific requirements, claim justification and substantiation
• Collect input from SRA, Legal and Corporate Affairs and provide final artwork with comments and suggestions to Marketing
• Monitor regulatory updates and changes and participate in association activities and communication with government bodies
• Communicate Japanese regulatory requirements and proposed changes to supply units and regional project teams
• Support non-compliance and PRIMPS matters and act as an SRA back-up
• Connect with global and regional SRA teams to implement digital transformation projects
• Assess snack food raw materials, recipes, finished products, claims, labels, legal text and artwork for regulatory compliance
• Identify and drive improvements and innovations to working methods across own and cross-functional areas
• Lead and drive changes, escalate challenges, and proactively address gaps beyond own responsibilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams using regulatory expertise
• Support team engagement activities and develop team members through peer assistance, coaching and teaching

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in food science, food engineering, or related sciences
• More than 5 years of experience in a similar role in an FMCG company or related roles
• Experience in regulatory compliance, quality, or food safety
• Professional level Japanese; fluent level English

Preferred requirements:

• Master's degree in food science, food engineering, or related sciences
• Possess a valid veterinarian certificate
