A global pharmaceutical manufacturer is hiring a Chief Scientific Officer. The selected candidate will lead R&D strategy, oversee scientific operations, and represent the company in external scientific engagements.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute scientific vision aligned with business growth goals
• Recommend new product development and in-licensing opportunities
• Oversee R&D activities to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards across research functions
• Represent the company at scientific conferences, seminars, and industry events
• Collaborate with global teams to manage the full drug development pipeline

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a relevant scientific domain
• More than 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development
• More than 5 years of experience in a leadership role
• Background in drug development and innovation
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Native level Japanese; proficient in English
