A global financial services company is seeking a Social Media Manager. The successful candidate will drive channel growth, develop engaging content, oversee community management and social listening, measure campaign performance, manage agency relationships, and provide strategic guidance to social media teams across Asia.

Responsibilities:

• Drive growth of Japan’s organic social media channels in line with local business priorities, using analytics to measure performance and connect outcomes to business results
• Provide strategic guidance to social media teams across Asia, aligning market activities with global and regional priorities and sharing best practices
• Collaborate with corporate affairs, brand, product, marketing, acquisition, and senior stakeholders to develop Japan social campaigns aligned with global strategy and messaging
• Manage the editorial calendar and coordinate with paid social, editorial, and colleague communications teams to connect internal and external storytelling
• Oversee community management and social listening across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube, ensuring compliance with community guidelines and driving audience engagement
• Partner with social media platforms to identify new opportunities and capabilities
• Support global social media campaigns and contribute to enterprise-wide reporting
• Manage the local agency relationship, ensuring work aligns with priorities, briefs, and budgets

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in social media and community management
• Demonstrated ability to develop innovative, social-first storytelling that drives organic engagement
• Ability to write concise, story-led copy and create engaging graphic, photo, and video assets
• Experience using social listening tools to build communities and generate insights
• Experience in issues management
• Experience using photo and video editing tools
• Familiarity with Sprinklr, Brandwatch, or other social publishing and reporting tools
• Experience engaging influencers and creators in social content development
• Working experience in global organisations
• Proficient in Japanese and English
