A renowned renewable energy company is looking for a Project Development professional. The selected candidate will manage project plans, land and permitting activities, stakeholder coordination, and development partners across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Support the project development team in delivering business plan targets for renewable energy projects
• Develop and manage project development plans, budgets, schedules, and third-party vendors
• Assess and secure suitable locations for wind projects, evaluating permitting, land, technical, engineering, and project economics risks
• Lead land acquisition, permitting, grid connection, FIT/FIP applications, EIA, and heritage impact assessment activities
• Coordinate global internal teams, external consultants, project partners, and local stakeholders from project inception through financial close
• Monitor regulatory and engineering developments while ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, environmental, and Japanese regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, geological, or civil engineering, commerce, law, or another relevant equivalent subject
• Experience of permit related law/regulation, tax and accounting, financial model
• Prior experience of engineering and designing for developing onshore/offshore wind power plants
• Proven experience of working and managing relationships within a global organisation
• Understanding of the renewable industry
• Possess valid law qualification
• Proficient in English (TOEIC 850+); native level Japanese (JLPT N1)
