Head of Field Service Japan

A global industrial machinery manufacturer is looking for a Head of Field Service Japan. The selected candidate will lead field service operations, manage engineering teams, optimise resource utilisation, drive customer satisfaction, and ensure safe and efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of field service engineers to achieve operational excellence
• Manage field service budgets, cost controls, and support service quotation processes
• Analyse workforce utilisation and optimise resource allocation for maximum productivity
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards and promote a strong safety culture across the team
• Coordinate customer service activities, resolve escalations, and ensure timely service execution
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support cross-functional collaboration on field service operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent
• Experience as a field service engineer in the manufacturing industry
• Prior experience in a leadership role within a field service or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices relevant to field service operations
• Skilled in using field service management software and tools for scheduling, reporting, and resource allocation
• Fluent level English
