商業財務コントローラー/ Commercial Finance Controller

A global pharmaceutical company is looking for a Commercial Finance Controller. The chosen applicant will turn financial data into clear decisions and stronger business performance while ensuring accuracy, compliance and long-term value. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate budgets, forecasts and long-term plans for assigned commercial areas
• Analyse performance, explain key drivers and provide clear scenarios, risks, opportunities and recommendations
• Support monthly and annual accounting close and maintain reliable financial documentation
• Partner with commercial stakeholders to clarify assumptions, trade-offs, ownership and follow-up actions
• Ensure compliance with applicable local requirements, corporate policies, internal controls and approved processes
• Simplify, standardise and automate recurring finance work to improve quality, speed and user experience
• Use company-approved AI and digital tools responsibly to support analysis, drafting, summarisation, visualisation and workflow efficiency, with appropriate human review and data protection

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business or economics
• More than 3 years of experience in controlling, FP&A, accounting or audit
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, analysis and accounting close
• Advanced level MS Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
• Interest and practical capability in GenAI and smart working, including prompt design, critical validation and responsible use of approved tools
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in commercial finance within a pharmaceutical, healthcare or multinational environment
• Experience with SAP, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate or comparable platforms
• Knowledge of German GAAP and/or Japanese GAAP
