財務マネージャー/ Finance Manager

An international pharmaceutical company is looking for a Finance Manager. The selected candidate will oversee financial reporting, planning and forecasting, finance operations, internal controls, business partnering, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing in line with IFRS and Group accounting policies
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and closing activities
• Coordinate statutory reporting, tax activities, audits, and accounting processes with internal and external stakeholders
• Support budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and variance analysis to provide actionable financial insights
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, cash flow, and financial controls in coordination with regional and global teams
• Partner with business functions and identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate Finance processes and systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, accounting, business administration, or a relevant domain
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting (multinational environment is a plus)
• Experience with IFRS
• Prior experience with financial closing, accounting, and management reporting
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance management
• Previous experience with ERP and financial reporting/planning systems
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Business level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
• Prior experience working with regional/global finance teams or shared service centers
• Proven experience as Finance Business Partner to commercial and/or other business functions
• Previous finance process improvement, automation, or system implementation experience
• Background in coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, or other professional service providers
