原価計算士/ Cost Accountant

A global advanced materials company is seeking a Cost Accountant. The role covers standard costing, inventory valuation, cost variance analysis and financial reporting, with close collaboration across finance, production and supply chain. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain standard costs for manufactured products
• Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to validate costing data and support operations
• Set up standard costs, BOMs, labour and overheads in the ERP system
• Manage inventory valuation, account reconciliations and stock take support for financial close
• Calculate excess and obsolete reserves and apply monthly cost variances
• Support annual cost rolls and update new costs in the ERP item master
• Monitor COGS, material usage and yield variances to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Analyse actual versus standard cost variances and provide monthly reports and root cause analysis
• Provide cost data for budgeting, forecasting and business planning
• Support internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and audit requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, accounting, or economics related domain
• More than 3 years of experience, preferably in a multinational manufacturing organisation or a trading company
• Understanding of standard cost accounting theory, principles & practices
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Skilled in SBO
• Fluent level Japanese; proficient in reading and written English

Preferred requirements:

• Understanding of manufacturing processes
