経理・財務サービスマネージャー/ Accounting & Finance Services Manager

A global accounting and business-support firm is looking for an Accounting & Finance Services Manager. The selected candidate will lead accounting and financial reporting engagements, develop team members, improve systems and processes, and support client relationships and practice development.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting engagements for primarily foreign-owned companies in Japan
• Review monthly and year-end accounting, financial statements, and reporting packages
• Provide technical guidance on complex accounting matters
• Participate in client meetings and cross-border reporting discussions
• Build trusted relationships with key client contacts and overseas headquarters
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including future managers and leaders
• Coordinate with Tax, Payroll, HR, Corporate, and Advisory teams
• Improve workflows, documentation, quality, and operational consistency
• Support engagement planning, resource allocation, and profitability
• Develop scalable procedures, controls, and service-delivery models
• Support ISO 27001, automation, AI, and cloud-accounting initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and client service
• Support proposals, prospective-client meetings, and client onboarding
• Identify additional ways to support existing clients
• Build relationships with professional partners and global member firms
• Contribute to the growth and future direction of the Accounting practice

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably including supervisory or management responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of Japanese accounting principles and monthly closing
• Experience reviewing and guiding the work of others
• Experience managing multiple client engagements or accounting functions
• Enjoys working directly with clients, developing people, improving systems and processes, and working in an international environment
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Possess a valid CPA, US CPA, or another recognised professional qualification
