アクイジション・マネージングディレクター/ MD of Acquisition

A multinational hotel asset management firm is seeking a Managing Director/Head of Acquisition. The successful candidate will lead investment and development strategy, source and evaluate opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and progress transactions through to closing. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Japan investment and development strategy across core and regional cities, setting growth targets and building a scalable pipeline
• Originate acquisitions, leases, and management contracts from sourcing and evaluation through negotiation and closing
• Build and drive the origination platform through brokers, owners, investors, and local partners
• Develop and manage relationships with property owners, institutional investors, lenders, and other market participants
• Collaborate with finance, operations, technical, and marketing teams to deliver projects from sourcing through execution and stabilisation
• Represent the company in Japan as a senior market-facing leader and position the firm as a preferred operator and investment partner

Requirements:

• More than 10 years of experience in hotel real estate investment, development, or hospitality platforms in Japan
• Experience in deal sourcing and origination, including acquisitions, leases, and management contracts
• Established local network across owners, brokers, investors, and lenders
• Entrepreneurial and commercially driven with the ability to independently build pipelines and close deals
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge local counterparties and international capital
• Native level Japanese; business level English
