量産購買担当/ Serial Buyer

An international automotive company is seeking a Serial Buyer. The selected candidate will manage supplier performance, lead commodity strategies and sourcing activities, drive cost savings and productivity, and support quality, delivery, and supply continuity.

Responsibilities:

• Improve financial performance through supplier negotiations, resourcing, productivity actions, and long-term savings opportunities
• Monitor supplier Quality, Cost and Delivery performance, challenge suppliers against targets, and lead management reviews to address performance gaps
• Define and lead activities aligned with Commodity Strategy, including preparing cost models and following market trends for commodities and raw materials
• Deliver the purchasing budget, update forecasts, identify and report monthly savings, and ensure savings are captured and confirmed with the Controller
• Support Program Buyers with sourcing new segments and defining supplier panels
• Review and evaluate existing and potential suppliers through cross-functional audits and visits based on Group criteria
• Lead supplier VA/VE activities and continuous improvement initiatives, including participation in lean manufacturing workshops
• Obtain and challenge supplier quotes and assumptions for engineering changes through ECR/EO activities
• Manage supplier tool life and monitor and secure capacity
• Validate charge-back costs for poor quality and delivery performance and follow supplier debits through to cash receipt
• Calculate and follow up on retroactive debits and credits for late-identified savings through to cash receipt or debit execution
• Interface between the department and plant or Commercial Business Unit to address operational and supplier-related matters
• Monitor Supplier Global Performance Measurement for quality, service, and cost through SBG reporting structures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Engineering or a related field
• More than 3 years of experience in the automotive industry
• More than 3 years of experience in purchasing functions
• Stress management skills
• Strong MS Office Suite skills
• Ability and willingness to travel 15%-20% domestically and internationally
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• SAP experience
