An international medical technology company is seeking a Supply Chain Lead. The selected candidate will manage 3PL operations, demand and supply planning, inventory control, regulatory compliance, cost optimisation, risk management, and supply chain improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage 3PL logistics providers to ensure service excellence and cost efficiency
• Oversee outsourced 3PL warehouse operations in Saitama and Kobe
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are delivered on time and resolve shipment discrepancies
• Monitor Inbound Delivery records, iDoc errors, and Delivery Notes in SAP and WMS
• Ensure physical inventory matches 3PL WMS and SAP records and conduct inventory reconciliation when required
• Optimise warehouse space utilisation and lead Monthly Business Review meetings with 3PL providers
• Monitor KPI dashboards and ensure warehouse and transportation spending forecasts and actuals are submitted on time
• Coordinate timely processing of customer returns
• Manage demand consensus, risk and opportunity tracking, demand reconciliation, and forecast loading in IBP
• Analyse SKU replenishment plans and demand changes and manage replenishment volume reviews with manufacturing sites
• Lead product lifecycle and ECO change management and manage obsolescence risks, scrap write-offs, and disposal
• Ensure compliance with Japanese regulatory requirements and company quality standards
• Manage financial spend and KPI performance of third-party logistics partners
• Collaborate with commercial, finance, regulatory, and quality teams to support product launches and business continuity
• Optimise supply chain costs and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
• Support digital transformation projects to improve supply chain visibility and analytics
• Lead risk management and contingency planning for supply chain disruptions
• Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with global and regional business goals

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in supply chain management, business or a related field
• More than 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, logistics and/or demand and supply planning
• Experience in a managerial capacity
• Strong knowledge of Japanese regulatory and trade compliance requirements
• Digital proficiency with SAP ERP, Warehouse Management Systems, Power BI, AI, and other supply chain technologies
• Deep understanding of supply chain best practices including logistics warehousing, transportation, outsourced 3PL management, and demand and supply planning
• Excellent written and verbal Japanese and English
