アソシエイト・サブエディター/ Associate Sub-editor

A global investment research firm is seeking an Associate Sub-editor, Japanese and English Language. The selected candidate will edit Japanese interview transcripts, refine English translations, and ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency across research materials.

Responsibilities:

• Proofread and edit Japanese interview transcripts, verifying accuracy through research and cross-checking
• Review and refine AI-generated English translations for accuracy, grammar, syntax, formatting, tone, and localisation
• Apply and support the development of cross-language style guidelines
• Write and edit Japanese interview marketing materials and translate them into English
• Manage vendors by evaluating work quality and turnaround times
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to verify information, align editorial standards, and escalate transcription errors or style guide inconsistencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in language studies, journalism, business and finance, or other related fields (translation is a plus)
• More than 2 years of experience as an editor, translator, proofreader, copywriter or similar role
• Experience of editing and proofreading transcriptions and/or translations
• Understanding of machine learning and natural language processing principles underlying AI translation
• Prior understanding of translation best practices
• Professional level Japanese and English
