契約法務担当/ Contracts Counsel

A global consulting firm is looking for a Contracts Counsel. The selected candidate will provide commercially focused legal guidance while collaborating with senior legal colleagues, consultants, and cross-functional teams in a complex international environment. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Advise on engagement-related legal issues and complex arrangements, including performance-based engagements, technology deployments, and M&A
• Support stakeholders on internal compliance, risk management, and client service matters
• Provide proactive legal guidance on technology deliverables and the development and deployment of AI
• Collaborate with lawyers across Asia and the global Legal Department on cross-border matters
• Liaise with partners, consulting teams, risk, compliance, finance, tax, and other internal functions
• Drive efficient legal processes while balancing commercial objectives, risk, and quality of client service

Requirements:

• More than 3 years of post-qualification private practice or in-house legal counsel experience (commercial transactions, technology law, and intellectual property)
• Experience with RFP review and response
• Skilled in drafting, revising, and negotiating commercial contracts (service agreements, confidentiality agreements, master consulting agreements, SoW’s, and independent consulting) agreements, and indemnity agreements
• Possess valid law qualification in Japan, US, UK, or Australia
• Fluent level written and spoken English and Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Understanding of current technologies, cloud architecture, and artificial intelligence (LLMs, AI agents, machine learning models)
• Proficient in other Asian languages (Mandarin, Korean and Bahasa)
