APマネージャー/ AP Manager

An international premier sports retail organisation is seeking an AP Manager. The selected candidate will manage AP operations, ensure compliance with internal policies, and support reporting, audits, and cash-related processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable operations including payment requests, purchase applications, and expense reimbursements
• Oversee bank payment check runs and ensure timely processing of payments
• Manage intercompany invoicing and netting processes across entities
• Process tax-related payments in compliance with regulations and internal policies
• Ensure full AP process compliance with internal controls and company standards
• Collect monthly accrual data and ensure accurate expense booking
• Monitor and control prepaid expense balances
• Prepare profit and loss and balance sheet details for relevant accounts
• Support cash forecasting for payment planning and liquidity management
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 5 years of experience in accounts payable operations with management experience
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP)
• Possess a valid Japan Bookkeeping Level 2+ or equivalent accounting qualification
• Business level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in retail industry
• Experience in finance system projects or ERP implementation
