You Me We

YouMeWe is a non-profit organization solely dedicated to nurturing and supporting local children from institutionalized homes all over Japan and assisting them in becoming fully independent when they reach the age of 18, such as acquiring financial and digital literacy. YouMeWe also supports the children after they leave the homes, by supporting them to enroll in higher education and secure a decent job for their future.

mirai no mori

Mirai no Mori is a not-for-profit organization that creates life-changing outdoor programs for abused, neglected, and orphaned youths in Japan, supporting their growth into happy and successful young adults.

Kosodate Villege

Kosodate Village offers programs promoting education on social impact issues through principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Their programs include Girls Talk: workshops on social impact issues for young women, Queer Social: a much-needed safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals to gather and build community, etc.

Peace Boat Disaster Relief

Peace Boat Disaster Relief (PBV) responds to disasters in Japan and abroad, working with local stakeholders in order to deliver assistance that is most needed to affected communities. The assistance provided varies from logistical support and volunteer coordination to evacuation shelter management. Recent activities include emergency relief on Maui Island in Hawaii, and support to the area affected by the intensity 6 earthquake that hit the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa at the beginning of 2024. 

Palette

Palette aims to contribute to the realization of a society where everyone can live life fully as they’re inherently entitled, by providing solutions for various life challenges people with disabilities face in the realm of employment, living accommodations, and leisure. Just as in painting, where various colours are mixed together on a palette to create new colours, they create new possibilities by metaphorically replacing colours with people on a big "Palette" and widen their social life and horizons.

 

Kids Osaka

Kids Osaka provides specialised educational programmes tailored to the development of children aged 0-18. Most children have mild disabilities; they also support employment assistance for disabled people 18+. Most of the children they support include daycare, kindergarten students and early years primary school students. Their parents are aware that their children are different from other children and are anxious about their future; the NPO provides them with necessary support and advice.

Umisakura

Umisakura plans and manages beach clean-up events in which people of all ages can participate, as well as projects to promote interest in the ocean.

They aim to host the most fun beach clean-up activities in Japan and are working to preserve the marine environment.

Present Tree

Present Tree is an NPO that has been involved in projects including Present Tree to connect reforestation and regional revitalisation.

Plants trees in clearcutting sites and forests affected by natural disasters throughout Japan, especially regions with lower birth rates and an aging population. They work together with local communities to nurture beautiful forests for the future generation to enjoy. 

Shine On! Kids

Shine On! Kids implements an array of programs that support children suffering from childhood cancer and other serious illnesses, along with their families.

Shine On! Kids focuses on activities to enhance healthcare teams and healthcare, and to raise awareness for childhood cancer.

Smiling Hospital Japan

Smiling Hospital Japan is an NPO that organizes events in which volunteer artists across a range of disciplines visit hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout Japan to provide art engagement activities for children fighting serious illnesses.

Smiling Hospital Japan is striving to make the days of children fighting illnesses just a little bit brighter and more joyful through activities such as music, art, and magic, to help sustain their spirits in their battles to regain health.

Save Earth Foundation

With the objective of preserving the planet for future generations, Save Earth Foundation is committed to creating a sustainable, recycling-oriented society through two main projects: “resource recycling” and “reforestation” through the effective use of limited natural resources.

Second Harvest Japan

Second Harvest Japan is Japan’s first food bank organization, rescuing food that would otherwise be disposed, despite still being fit to eat, and providing the collected food to children at childcare facilities, victims at domestic violence shelters, and people who are forced to live on the street.

TELL

TELL is an NPO organization providing world-class mental health support and counselling services to Japan's international community and the community at large. TELL’s services include free phone counselling and information, professional face-to-face counselling, corporate wellness, and educational workshops.

Hanalabs

Hanalabs is an NPO that fosters the creativity and leadership of female students through their participation in the resolution of social challenges. Hanalabs advances a number of programs, such as organizing projects in which female students work together with local government bodies and corporations to resolve issues, and publishing an internet magazine that showcases women active in society, with coverage provided directly by female students.

ReBit

ReBit is a non-profit organization which supports LGBT youth and aims to create a society where LGBT youth can grow up without experiencing hate and become the adults they wish to be. 

ReBit has delivered over 600 lectures across Japan to over 50,000 people with support from municipalities, engaging our extensive network of LGBT students as lecturers. Additionally, ReBit has organized / helped to organize 50+ LGBT Coming of Age Ceremony events in 16 regions across Japan.

Being ALIVE Japan

Being ALIVE Japan cultivates rewarding relationships for children who need long-term treatment through sports.

It organizes sport programs in hospital and community settings. It connects children facing serious as well as chronic illnesses with professional sport teams and college athletics teams. The power of teammates improves quality of life, promotes independence, and leads children who need long-term care to the best childhood experience.
