A foreign pharmaceutical company is looking for a Key Account Manager – Oncology. The chosen applicant will build doctor relationships, support events, and share insights to align product and marketing strategy. This role can be based in Osaka or Tokyo.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage trust relationships with key healthcare institutions and medical groups by understanding doctors’ behavioural psychological characteristics and adapting communication styles accordingly
  • Identify vision, needs, and pain points of key doctors regarding diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, and present product value to gain recognition and agreement
  • Support planning and implementation of area lecture meetings based on sales tactics, and review roles, speakers, and presentation slides for compliance with the sales team lead and MRs
  • Cultivate speakers and potential Thought Leaders who align with product strategy and influence prescription intentions
  • Develop strategic partnerships by aligning communication and value propositions with individual doctors’ profiles
  • Deliver feedback and reactions of key opinion leaders and next-generation leaders to the marketing team
  • Discuss patient journey issues with doctors and link these to how company products provide value
  • Negotiate appropriate lecture content and speaker arrangements in compliance with internal policies and sales objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Prior ONC TA experience
  • Knowledge in the Oncology therapeutic area
  • Marketing, MSL, Key Account Marketing (KAM) experience is preferred
  • Experience as a medical representative is preferred
  • High interpersonal, analytical, and logical thinking skills
  • Fluent level Japanese
