Faye's Tokyo visit
Faye visited the Robert Walters Tokyo office during the week of July 9th, 2025, sharing her expertise with our internal staff as well as C-suite executives and senior leaders in Tokyo who are interested in the latest AI developments in the world of hiring.
Executive roundtable lunch
During her visit, Faye engaged an audience of C-suite executives at an exclusive roundtable lunch, diving deep into AI tools related to recruiting and their strategic implications for modern businesses.

Human vs. Machine: The Great Business Reshape
Faye also presented at our event in partnership with the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan, "Human vs. Machine: The Great Business Reshape," exploring AI's transformative impact on recruitment and HR alongside esteemed speakers including Nicola Vote (BCCJ Executive Committee member), Christopher Snow (Partner, Interim Professionals Practice Leader, EY), Harold Godsoe (Counsel, Kojima Law Offices) and Ilya Kulyatin (Co-founder and CEO, Foundry Labs).
Faye demonstrated how AI is dramatically transforming recruitment workflows at Robert Walters, where roughly 70% of recruiters actively use their private ChatGPT version for daily tasks. She highlighted practical applications including creating targeted interview questions with evaluation metrics, generating job advertisements, and producing outreach emails that achieve 40% higher response rates due to improved writing quality and precision targeting.
Despite AI improving both application volume and quality, Walshe noted that human connections remain crucial in final hiring decisions, particularly as the technology continues to evolve.
The discussion also expanded to the broader organizational implications of AI adoption. Christopher Snow from EY emphasized the need to understand existing processes "rule by rule" before implementing AI solutions, while Harold Godsoe from Kojima Law Offices stressed the critical importance of developing internal AI policies to manage legal and reputational risks, advising organizations to proactively address data privacy and transparency concerns rather than waiting for legislative guidance.
