A global specialty ingredient company is looking for a Sales role. The selected applicant will be responsible for driving sales growth in Japan by managing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow sales with existing customers while actively developing new leads and prospects in Japan
  • Promote and sell the ingredient portfolio using a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach
  • Understand customer needs and provide product recommendations aligned with market trends and technical requirements
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders (R&D, Purchasing, Senior Management)
  • Prepare clear and effective proposals, quotations, and commercial documents
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product management, logistics, quality, marketing, finance) to ensure smooth project execution
  • Monitor competitors, market dynamics, and identify opportunities for new products or applications
  • Handle customer inquiries, issues, and complaints with efficiency and professionalism
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and pipelines in CRM/ERP systems
  • Attend key industry events, trade shows, and customer visits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above (advanced degree is a plus)
  • More than 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in nutritional ingredients, food & beverage, or dietary supplement industries
  • Proven experience in account management and business development
  • Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems and excellent command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
