VMDアシスタント/ Visual Merchandising Administrator

An international luxury cosmetics company is looking for a Visual Merchandising Administrator. The successful candidate will coordinate visual merchandising plans, store openings, fixture and material procurement, HQ design localisation, supplier coordination, and on-site execution while maintaining brand visual standards. This is a hybrid setup and long-term contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of visual merchandising plans in collaboration with the Marketing Manager
• Support store staff with basic visual merchandising tasks and standards
• Visit stores to support visual merchandising activities
• Coordinate with HQ to obtain floor plans, request store designs, and localise designs for the local brand team
• Lead drawing negotiations and finalisation with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage the procurement and ordering of retail grids, fixtures, visual assets, testers, and promotional materials
• Oversee end-to-end project management for new store openings, including drawing approvals, fixture manufacturing, and product and tester deliveries
• Create post-opening maintenance guidelines and lead on-site store setup and launch execution
• Develop visual merchandising plans aligned with new product launches, marketing strategies, and brand guidelines
• Localise and implement global and regional visual merchandising guidelines for in-store execution
• Create visual guidelines for new products and ensure rollout across stores
• Coordinate with inventory and logistics teams to manage stock levels and timely delivery of display materials
• Maintain displays, fixtures, and signage in clean, organised, and visually appealing condition
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for display material and fixture procurement

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Administrative and operational experience
• Intermediate level skills in Illustrator/Photoshop for photo processing, layout creation, visual editing, etc.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite
• Fluent level Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Some experience with visual merchandising
• Proficient in English
