不動産開発責任者/ Vice President - Development

A luxury real estate company is looking for a Vice President – Development. The selected candidate will lead the end-to-end development of luxury senior living communities, overseeing site acquisition, project delivery, stakeholder management, regulatory compliance, and development strategy across Japan.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate land acquisition, redevelopment, and joint venture opportunities
• Manage projects from feasibility and concept planning through construction and operational handover
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, healthcare partners, interior designers, and operators
• Oversee permitting, zoning, licensing, and statutory approval processes
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, financial institutions, consultants, and development partners
• Ensure compliance with Japanese building regulations, environmental requirements, safety standards, and senior care regulations
• Collaborate with finance and leadership teams on budgeting, capital planning, and project reporting
• Lead and develop a high-performing development team across multiple project locations
• Represent the company in negotiations, industry forums, and stakeholder engagements

Requirements:

• More than 15 years of experience in real estate development with significant exposure to large-scale residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or senior living projects
• Experience leading complex real estate development projects in Japan
• Strong understanding of Japanese real estate regulations, permitting processes, and development practices
• Established network across developers, contractors, consultants, landowners, financial institutions, and government authorities in Japan
• Excellent commercial acumen, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and entrepreneurial environment
• Passion for developing lifestyle-focused senior living communities
• Native level Japanese; fluent level English

Preferred requirements:

• Master's degree or above in Real Estate, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field
• Experience in luxury hospitality, branded residential, wellness, or senior living developments
