A global automotive manufacturing company is looking for a Plant Supply Chain Manager. The selected candidate will lead plant supply chain operations, optimise material and information flow, manage cross-functional collaboration, and drive continuous improvements in customer service, productivity, inventory, and logistics performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead plant-level supply chain activities covering customer service, demand management, warehousing, inventory, productivity, and logistics costs
  • Mentor and coach team members across planning, warehouse, and SAP functions
  • Stop machines in cases of immediate risk and emergency situations when required
  • Drive the implementation of site supply chain action plans and continuously improve material and information flows and work processes
  • Collaborate with supply chain stakeholders including purchasing, production, finance, HR, suppliers, and customers
  • Contribute to Asia Supply Chain and Purchasing activities and complete reporting in a timely manner
  • Obtain logistics information for purchased goods
  • Ensure team members are informed and trained on Quality, Safety, and Environment requirements
  • Manage IMS processes within the area of responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, and Environment standards while contributing to IMS process improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management
  • More than 10 years of experience in supply chain management within manufacturing sectors as both a Planning Leader and Warehouse Leader
  • Experience building an integrated supply chain organisation
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to build a high-performing supply chain organisation, including structure, roles and responsibilities, processes, procedures, and work instructions
  • Robust team management experience
  • Good safety awareness
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent level English and Japanese

Preferred requirements:

  • Bi-cultural profile, overseas experience, or experience working for a foreign company
  • Experience supervising major SAP projects related to supply chain activities, including MRP and production planning
  • Skills in SAP modules such as MM, PP, SD, or WM
