サプライチェーンスペシャリスト/ Supply Chain Specialist

A multinational chemicals company is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist. The selected candidate will coordinate shipments, manage SAP transactions and inventory, resolve operational issues, and work with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to maintain reliable and compliant supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day supply chain and logistics activities for packed products, samples, tolling materials, and bulk shipments
• Monitor shipments and work with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, terminals, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues
• Process purchase orders, stock transfer orders, goods receipts, invoices, and inventory transactions in SAP
• Monitor inventory, perform reconciliations, and support replenishment planning and storage capacity management
• Investigate shipment, documentation, invoice, inventory, and product discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions
• Support safety, compliance, supplier assessment, process improvement, and digital transformation activities
• Participate in cross-functional meetings, provide operational updates, and collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and external partners

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or trade operations
• Experience in the chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing industry
• Advanced proficiency in SAP
• Good understanding of customs clearance, international trade documentation, Incoterms, Bills of Lading, and vessel chartering
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Ability to manage end-to-end supply chain activities while considering cost, service, inventory, compliance, and operational risk
• Proficiency in using generative AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency, organise information, assess options, and enhance business communications
• Ability to identify operational risks, investigate discrepancies, and implement practical corrective actions
• Ability to manage urgent shipping, inventory, and documentation issues under tight deadlines
• Possess a valid IMDG Dangerous Goods Certification for shipping hazardous materials
• Professional level Japanese; business level English
